Thank you for your interest in submitting an article to the Hong Kong Business Psychology Association (HKBPA). Please adhere to the guidelines below before making your submission:
- Word Count:
There is no strict minimum, but our articles typically range from 250-500 words. Aim to keep your submission under 500 words. - Tone: We strive for a tone that is inclusive, accessible, and overall positive. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with our previously published content to understand our style.
- Original Content: We require that all articles submitted be exclusive and original to HKBPA. We will not accept any pieces that have been previously published, submitted elsewhere online, or intended to be distributed on other websites.
- SEO-Driven Submissions: We are not interested in SEO-driven submissions. If your work is primarily focused on linking keywords to boost SEO, please refrain from submitting.
- Product Promotion: Our publication emphasizes the exchange of knowledge within the field of Business Psychology, not product promotion. Articles with a primary focus on marketing a product or service will not be considered.
- Promotion of Your Article: While we do not offer compensation for contributions, we gladly include a brief author bio with links to your website, Facebook, Twitter, etc., which we will promote alongside your published article. Please limit your bio to 2-3 sentences.
- Submission Format: Send your article as an email attachment, with a cover email and your article attached in Word format. Attach your profile picture and any other graphics separately, rather than embedding them in the document.
- Post-Publication Sharing: Once your article is published, please share it with your network. The greater the visibility of your article, the more beneficial it is for both you and HKBPA. We will also promote your article across our digital platforms.
- Connecting with Contributors: The HKBPA Website Committee is comprised of volunteers who may have full-time jobs and personal commitments. Consequently, there may be some delay in our response. Rest assured, we will acknowledge your submission and give every article our careful consideration. Successful submissions will be notified of the publication date, and unsuccessful ones will receive feedback.
- Editorial Process: By submitting your article to HKBPA, you acknowledge and accept that your submission may undergo editing for reasons including, but not limited to, word count, readability, and layout requirements.
