To join the HKBPA, applicants must fill out an Application Form. Membership candidates (except affiliate membership grade) typically need to be proposed and seconded by two current HKBPA members who are personally acquainted with the applicant and can vouch for their suitability for membership based on their qualifications in business psychology. If a candidate is unable to find a Proposer and Seconder, they must provide two pertinent academic or professional references using the References of Member Form.

Completed forms, along with necessary transcripts, documents, and the application fee of USD200/ HKD1560, should be sent to the HKBPA’s registered address. Applicants are required also sign a Declaration and an Undertaking to adhere to the HKBPA Code of Ethics.

Enrollment in HKBPA qualifications mandates active membership. This policy ensures that participants are dedicated to maintaining professional standards.

Your unique HKBPA membership number can be found on your digital membership card or within any official correspondence you receive from us. If you need help locating it, please reach out to contact@hkbpa.com for assistance.

To use your HKBPA’s professional designations, you must keep up with ongoing subscription of membership and meet any continuing professional education requirements. Your designations should be used in full in professional settings, such as on business cards or email signatures.

Our programmes are accessible year-round, although partner programmes may have specific enrollment windows. Please verify these dates in advance.

After submitting your application with all required documents, we will process it within 7 working days. Successful applicants will be welcomed via email with further guidance.

We welcome non-native English speakers with proof of sufficient English proficiency, as validated by IELTS, TOEFL, GCSE, or Cambridge certificates.

The entry requirements for international members or students mirror those for local participants.

You have 12-24 months to complete your qualifications upon registration. Extensions and specific course durations will be communicated as needed.

Achieving qualifications with HKBPA counts towards your ongoing CPE obligations of the association.

Applicants with relevant qualifications may be granted exemptions through Recognition of Prior Learning, subject to assessment and verification. Follow the provided application instructions carefully.

We would like to remind our members that membership fees are periodically adjusted following the association’s yearly fiscal assessment. Membership subscription rates are updated annually. Membership is based on a rolling year, meaning that renewal is due 12 months after your initial registration.
